Meet Dr. Wachter

KIM WACHTER, DDS

Dr. Kimberly Wachter graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University in 1981. She was the second youngest graduate of Marquette’s School of Dentistry at the age of 24. Upon graduation she began and built a thriving practice in Oshkosh, WI where she developed extensive experience in cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry and general dentistry. After 29 successful years, she left to relocate to Sedona Arizona. Dr. Wachter is known for her kind and gentle approach to dentistry with a priority on patient comfort.

It is one thing to know about the latest technologies and quite another to implement and master them for the best possible care for a patient. At Sedona Smiles, we do both.

Dr. Wachter has attended thousands of hours of continuing education far exceeding any minimum licensing requirements. She has studied under some of the best cosmetic, implant and restorative dentists in the country. Most recently she has been involved extensively with Advanced CEREC Studies at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry.

Dr. Wachter has been a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry since 1993 and was recently recognized for successfully passing the Accreditation Written Examination. She has actively participated with the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and the American Dental Association since 1981.

Dr. Wachter has provided dental services for needy children of the Boys and Girls Club. She is married and has two children, a daughter with a Masters Degree in Education, and a son who has special needs. She enjoys bicycling and has raised money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation for Cancer survivorship. In addition to her family and devotion, her interests include yoga, physical fitness, art, active participation in organizations such as Sedona Women, and exploring the Southwest in her spare time.

Read some of our patient testimonials and let them tell you how changing a smile can change your life.

"...I knew in my initial consultation with Dr. Wachter that she would be able to take care of all my dental needs plus have the skills and talent to make my smile the best that it could be. I don't worry about covering my mouth when I smile any more and people often tell me I have beautiful teeth. It had been years since I heard that."

--Kris

"...personal matters that compounded with years of dental "abuse". Low self-esteem issues required me to seek help…I found Dr. Wachter and her Staff, which was one of the best things to happen to me at this point in my life. They took the time to listen to me. Work began on my dental education and I am happy to report that my top front teeth turned out beautiful and I can smile again with confidence. It's amazing the effect this change in my life has had on me physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. I look forward to our continuing relationship and with the support and help from all of them I know I am "on my way to a better rest of my life.”

--Tammy

"...when they began to striate and chip, I didn't like them; they were ugly! You have given me those teeth that I loved-I have them back! Your hard work has made me smile and look as I used to (if one ignores all of the added years, wrinkles and lack of hair!)."

--Mary Ann

"I am very pleased with my new 'perfect' smile…. I'm going to show off my new smile and if the change isn't obvious, I have the 'before' pictures to show! Thanks so much."

--Tricia

"Above all, thank you for taking such wonderful care of me and my teeth. Growing up like I have, teeth mean a lot to me and I am so thankful that you were able to fix them and make them look so natural. I've had so many compliments on them too!"

--Kim

"I'm really glad I found Dr. Kimberly Meier Wachter as my dentist. My teeth were not perfect before and I was very self conscious especially when I talk to people, but Dr. Wachter fixed that with her modern technology…I couldn't be happier with the result! It's incredible! Now, I'm not self-conscious anymore and even my friends at work notice how nice and white my teeth are. I couldn't thank Dr. Wachter enough for doing such a wonderful job and for giving me that 'perfect' smile."
